Wellington wrapped up the 2019 Diwali Festival of Lights on Sunday, 24 November at TSB arena and Shed 6 from 1.30 p to 9.15 pm. Nearly 20,000 people attended the event. There were diverse vegetarian food stalls, arts, craft and information stalls. We had non stop diverse cultural performances for more than seven hours. There were local and regional performances. The Deputy Prime Minister along with several MPS, Council elected members and officials from the Indian High Commission attended the event. Wellington Hindi School entertained the children with Diwali themed craft activities, The event concluded with dazzling fireworks in the evening.
